Mike Hess has engine trouble tonight in the #4.

His teammate David Gough gives up the #14 so Mike can continue in his chase for the Badger title.

Jon LeJeune and Robie Ray tangle in turn 2 during hot laps, both cars have scratched for the night.

Jerry Coons and Bryon Walters both had trouble during qualifying and are attempting repairs.

Bryon Walters led the first 9 laps holding off first Brad Kuhn and then Scott Hatton. Hatton made his winning move diving low in turn one of the last lap of the heat to take the win.

Lap 1 RED FLAG for Jerry Coons Jr. he is okay. Since his car was airborne, but did not turn over, he is eligible to restart.

Coons suffered no ill effects from the first lap dustup, he took the lead with a low pass at the start finish line at lap 4 and drove away from the field. A great race for 2nd though as Hess, East and DeSelle were three wide going into turn one on the last lap of the heat.

In his victory lane interview Coons said he suffered a broken rocker arm in qualifying and thanked Robbie Ray, who also runs a Stanton Mopar, for providing him with a replacement.

Aaron Fiscus starts scratch as he is now in his backup car.

Lap 1 RED FLAG; Ricky Ehrgott jumped out to the lead on lap 1 and spun in front of the field in turn one. Jim Fuerst flips and climbs out of the car without assistance.

Bubba Altig takes the early lead but his motor starts sputtering and Waelti makes the low pass on lap 2 to lead to the end. Joe Wip made up a lot of ground as the race wore on and was on Waelti's tail at the finish. Ricky Ehrgott coasted across the line at the finish losing a position.

Jim Fuerst can't get repaired in time and Ricky Ehrgott scratches due to engine trouble.

Lap 6 YELLOW for Patrick Jones in turn 4 Ray, Wipp, Coons, Hines, Hess

Lap 8 YELLOW for Tim Noble stalled in turn 4 Ray, Coons, Wipp, Hines, Hess

Lap 29 YELLOW for Bobby East stalled in turn 4 after hitting the wall in turn 2 while running 4th. Tracy Hines drops out while running second. Mike Hess, Bobby East and Chad DeSelle are in the work area. Coons, Ray, Hatton, Kuhn, Altig

Lap 46 YELLOW for Brandon Waelti in turn 2 (tire) Jerry Coons pulled off on lap 35 with a huge lead. Now it's Ray, Hatton, Kuhn, Altig, Fiscus

Lap 50 Davey Ray wins for John Jones in the #41! Scott Hatton's car was losing power and faded. Mike Hess nipped Brad Kuhn right at the start finish line for 2nd.
